From 12 August 2026, new requirements will apply to packaging processed by Hexspoor. These packaging materials must comply with the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).<\/p>\n
To comply with these regulations, we ask our customers to provide a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for every packaging unit processed by Hexspoor. This document confirms that the packaging complies with the applicable PPWR requirements.<\/p>\n

The PPWR is a new European regulation designed to reduce packaging waste while promoting reuse, recyclability, and transparency throughout the packaging supply chain. The regulation applies directly in all EU Member States and will gradually replace the current European Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive.<\/p>\n
The PPWR sets requirements for the entire lifecycle of packaging, including material use, recyclability, information requirements, and waste reduction. Organisations that manufacture, import, or place packaging on the market must be able to demonstrate that their packaging complies with these European requirements.<\/p>\n

A Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is a document confirming that packaging complies with the applicable European requirements. By maintaining complete and up-to-date Declarations of Conformity, Hexspoor can demonstrate that the packaging processed through our fulfilment centres complies with European legislation.<\/p>\n
Do you supply packaging that is processed by Hexspoor? If so, we kindly ask you to provide a valid Declaration of Conformity. This includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n
Does Hexspoor provide the shipping packaging? In that case, you do not need to provide a Declaration of Conformity. Compliance for these packaging materials is the responsibility of Hexspoor.<\/p>\n

If you do not yet have a Declaration of Conformity, please contact your packaging supplier or manufacturer. They are responsible for preparing this document and can confirm whether your packaging already complies with the PPWR requirements.<\/p>\n
Do you source packaging from multiple suppliers? If so, request a separate Declaration of Conformity for each relevant packaging type.<\/p>\n
If your supplier cannot yet provide a Declaration of Conformity, we recommend contacting them as soon as possible to discuss when it will become available. This helps prevent delays in providing the required documentation.<\/p>\n
