Hexspoor receives “My Boss is Purple” trophy

Accessible workplace at Hexspoor

Our colleague Nathalie presented us with the “Mijn baas is Paars” (“My Boss is Purple”) trophy in recognition of the support and flexibility she experienced during her illness. The trophy is awarded by employees with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) to their employer, as a token of appreciation for understanding, flexibility, and support in the workplace. For Hexspoor, this is a very special compliment. We are grateful to Nathalie for this thoughtful gesture and proud that our employees feel seen and supported.

At Hexspoor, we believe it is important that everyone has the opportunity to participate fully, even when dealing with a chronic illness, other challenges, or distance from the labour market. We ensure that employees with IBD can perform well despite challenges such as fatigue, pain, or concentration difficulties. Small adjustments—such as open conversations, flexible working hours, working from home, and additional rest breaks—can make a significant difference.

That is why we are especially proud to have received the “Mijn baas is Paars” trophy this year. The award is presented during the Week of Accessibility, when extra attention is given across the Netherlands to equal participation in society. Crohn & Colitis NL, the organisation behind the trophy, also uses this week to highlight the needs of employees living with a chronic bowel condition.

At Hexspoor, we remain committed to maintaining an accessible, engaged, and flexible working environment for all our colleagues. Together, we continue to make the workplace better for everyone, today and in the future.
