Like many logistics companies, Hexspoor experiences an annual peak period during which activity doubles compared to the rest of the year. In the logistics sector, it is common to rely on temporary staff to manage such busy periods. However, maintaining the quality and consistency of our processes with temporary staff can sometimes be challenging.
This year, we have once again continued our successful collaboration with Toppy. Alongside the dedication and hard work of our Hexspoor team, which goes above and beyond to process every order on time, the Toppy team provides extra hands during our busiest weeks. This support ensures that we continue to meet our high standards, even during the most hectic periods.
Toppy is a garden and outdoor e-commerce company specialising in swimming pool products, with a huge summer peak. Their quieter winter period aligns perfectly with Hexspoor’s peak season, allowing the Toppy TOP team to get started with us immediately. By combining the peak and off-peak periods of both companies, we create a true win-win: Hexspoor gains extra hands during busy times, while Toppy employees retain work and valuable experience.
Many of Toppy’s employees are refugees, people who have had to leave their home countries due to unsafe conditions. At both Hexspoor and Toppy, we see that these employees are highly motivated, hardworking, and bring an excellent work ethic. This way, we hope to contribute to their integration into Dutch society. Many of these employees are also taking Dutch language courses, which further improves their future opportunities.
This collaboration with Toppy, and the opportunity it provides to refugees, is very much in line with our values. We are extremely proud of our Toppy Team, who provide TOP support during this busy period. We look forward to continuing and expanding these kinds of initiatives in the future.
