In 2026, Hexspoor celebrates its 80th anniversary, a milestone we certainly couldn’t let pass unnoticed. What began in 1946 with Gerard Hexspoor Sr. and his bookbinding business has, over the decades and across generations, grown into what is now Hexspoor E-fulfilment: a leading player in European B2C and B2B fulfilment.
To celebrate this special anniversary, we did something that truly reflects who we are as a company: we organised a large family day. As a family business, there is no better way to celebrate such a milestone than by sharing it with the people who matter most, not only our employees, but their families as well.
Our reception hall was transformed into a festive venue, where employees were invited to bring along their partners and children. It was a day filled with laughter, fun and connection, where everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, could experience what it means to be part of the Hexspoor family.
Alongside the celebrations, the day also marked an important moment of transition and appreciation. Sjors and Tijn, representing the fourth generation, were symbolically handed the key to the company, while we warmly said goodbye to Susanne and Silvan, who represented the third generation.
Susanne and Silvan were surprised with a special farewell gift in recognition of their many years of dedication. The team had also prepared a personal quiz, filled with anecdotes, memories and humorous moments from their time at Hexspoor. It led to touching moments, plenty of laughter and many wonderful conversations, a fitting conclusion to their chapter within the company.
The family day perfectly captured what makes Hexspoor so special: a company that, despite its growth and professional development, has always remained true to its family values. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, reflect on the past and look ahead with confidence to the future, with the new generation at the helm.
