How we continue to lead in fulfilment

Perfection in fulfilment for every market

Under the leadership of the fourth generation, family business Hexspoor continues to refine e-fulfilment for both the business-to-business and consumer markets. With the new management team in place, continuity for the future is secured, with room for sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

“For our clients, we are their central logistics service provider for both B2C and B2B,” says Sjors Hexspoor, who, together with his brother Tijn, took over leadership of the family business this year. The company, founded in 1946, started as a bookbinding business and grew into a successful, award-winning and internationally recognised binder. Those same qualities, successful, award-winning and internationally recognised, still apply today, now due to its expertise in e-fulfilment, a market in which Hexspoor has been active for 27 years. “For this relatively young market, that is quite a long time,” adds Tijn.

Efficient and stable

What makes Hexspoor unique is that it fully unburdens its fulfilment clients by serving both the business and consumer markets. This allows clients to store their inventory in one central location, making operations more efficient and more stable, Sjors explains. “When order volumes explode, you want to be able to ship both to consumers and stores as quickly and reliably as possible.” He refers to a cosmetics brand that saw its consumer orders increase tenfold following an influencer promotion.

‘B2B and B2C: we handle everything from one central hub’

Most consumer shipments go to “true fans of the brand,” Sjors continues. “They expect the very best unboxing experience. For one client, we even spray a fragrance on the product. Clients enjoy it when we think along with them about the perfect packaging.”

Perfection is equally important in the B2B market. Timely delivery is crucial, Tijn explains. “B2B shipments can be very challenging. It might happen that we receive a one-hour delivery time slot for a shipment in Poland. Arriving late means the order will be refused.”

Strong locally as well

Hexspoor works extensively with brands from Australia, New Zealand and the United States. “We work a lot for cosmetics brands, but we just as easily ship sportswear or nutritional supplements,” says Tijn. “We also supply Wereldwinkels and process webshop orders for the Dutch branch of Amnesty International,” adds Sjors.

All of this takes place from Boxtel, where Hexspoor has been part of the community for eighty years. Sjors: “The local aspect is very important to us. We work with the municipality to give status holders the opportunity to contribute to society, and we sponsor various local initiatives. We are also proud that many of our colleagues cycle to work.”
